Conduct & Discipline Policy
West Texas Flag Football League
Code of Conduct
All coaches, players, and spectators are expected to conduct themselves in a respectful and positive manner at all times. By participating in this league, you agree to the following:
- I will conduct myself in a positive and respectful manner toward players, coaches, parents, and officials at all times.
- I will remember that kids play football to have fun, and every child should be given the opportunity to participate.
- I will support and respect the decisions of game officials and refrain from outward criticism.
- I am responsible for knowing and following the rules of the game.
- I will foster a safe and positive environment where players can learn and enjoy the game.
- I will encourage players to do their best and conduct themselves with sportsmanship.
- Only two coaches are allowed in the bench area during games. Additional assistants must remain outside the designated team area.
Discipline Policy
To maintain a safe, fair, and enjoyable environment for all participants, the following disciplinary rules are enforced:
- Coach Ejection
- If a coach is ejected from a game, they are required to officiate one full game before they are allowed to return to coaching duties. This must be coordinated with league staff.
- Spectator Ejection
- If a spectator is ejected from a game, the player they are associated with will also be ejected from that game. This is to encourage responsible adult behavior and reinforce accountability.
- Repeat Offenses
- Any individual (coach, spectator, or player) who is ejected from two games in a single season will be banned from the league for the remainder of the season. No refunds will be issued.
These policies are in place to protect the integrity of the game and ensure a positive experience for all players and families. The league reserves the right to issue additional discipline at the discretion of the commissioners in cases of extreme misconduct.
